# CLI: Local development stack
Source: https://sovaria.in/docs/cli-local-development

Run the whole Sovaria stack on your machine with sov start: API, auth, SQL, storage, mail, optional functions, realtime and console, with well-known local keys, migrations, seed data and a .env.local.

`sov start` needs Docker. Every port is published on 127.0.0.1 only, and the keys it prints work only against this stack. Guide: [Local development](https://sovaria.in/docs/local-development).

A day on the local stack:
```bash
sov start --with forge,console
sov status
sov db reset --local          # empty the local database, re-apply migrations + seed
sov stop                      # data kept; sov stop --reset deletes it
```
