Postgres clients and GraphQL

Connect psql, ORMs like Prisma and Drizzle, BI and admin tools to your project’s Postgres, and query it over GraphQL: connection strings, the pooler, TLS and which credential to use where.

Updated Oct 20, 2026

Connect in the top bar shows your project’s connection details. Database credentials act as the database owner and skip your Sovaria rules: use them in servers, migrations and admin tools, never in an app your users run.

UseConnect with
psql, migrations, admin toolsThe direct connection on port 5432, sslmode=require
Serverless and many short connectionsThe pooled connection (transaction mode)
BI tools (Metabase, Grafana, DBeaver, TablePlus)The direct connection, ideally with a read-only database user
Apps your users runThe SDK or REST API with the publishable key, never a database password
psql "postgresql://USER:PASSWORD@db.ORG.sovarias.in:5432/DB?sslmode=require"

GraphQL

Every table is also available over GraphQL at your project’s /graphql/v1 endpoint (pg_graphql). Unlike a database connection, GraphQL requests are checked against your rules like any other API call (HTTP API).
