Vercel and Netlify

Connect Vercel or Netlify to write your project URL and publishable key into a site’s environment variables for production, preview and development.

Updated Oct 20, 2026

Connect Vercel or Netlify for a project, pick the Vercel project or Netlify site, and press Sync environment variables. Sovaria writes the values your frontend needs to reach the project, for every environment.

VariableValue
SOVARIA_URLYour project’s API URL
SOVARIA_ANON_KEYThe publishable (anon) key
NEXT_PUBLIC_SOVARIA_URL, NEXT_PUBLIC_SOVARIA_ANON_KEYThe same values for Next.js
VITE_SOVARIA_URL, VITE_SOVARIA_ANON_KEYThe same values for Vite
  • Variables are written for production, preview and development. Redeploy the site to pick them up.
  • Only public values are written. The publishable key is safe in browsers: what it may do is decided by your rules and, if on, app attestation (App attestation).
  • Service keys never leave Sovaria. Put them in function secrets, never in a frontend’s environment.
import { createClient } from '@sovaria/sdk';

export const sov = createClient(
  import.meta.env.VITE_SOVARIA_URL,      // or process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SOVARIA_URL
  import.meta.env.VITE_SOVARIA_ANON_KEY,
);
