Sovaria vs Convex

Convex is a reactive backend where you write queries, mutations and actions in TypeScript and clients update automatically. Sovaria gives each project a Postgres database and document collections you reach from any language over SQL, REST or the SDKs, with access rules checked on every request, simulation and an undo timeline. Convex’s reactive TypeScript model is simpler for real-time apps; Sovaria fits teams that want SQL, other languages and rules outside application code.

  • You want access rules enforced outside application code, with simulation before changes ship.
  • You prefer pricing per organization, or in rupees.

Questions

Can I move a Convex app to Sovaria?

Yes. sov import convex reads a Convex snapshot export: Convex Auth users with their passwords, every table as a document collection with ids kept, and file storage. Queries and mutations are rewritten as SDK calls or functions.

Does Sovaria have reactive queries like Convex?

Sovaria has live listeners on documents and queries and realtime database changes, so clients update when data changes. You subscribe explicitly rather than every query being reactive.
